Press Release – July 9, 2005 - Ceremonial signing of HB 603 set for July 13, 2005
Eddie Evans (parent, Conroe Independent School District), John McGeough, (former educator, Sheldon Independent School District), and Fred Hink (parent, Katy Independent School District) – all members of Katy Zero Tolerance – have been invited to Austin to participate in a ceremonial signing of HB 603.
HB 603 (see Home page of www.KatyZeroTolerance.com) was signed by Governor Rick Perry in June and became law immediately. This ceremonial signing was asked for by Governor Perry and will also include State Senator Jon Lindsay and State Representative Ron Eissler.
The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 10:30 in the morning.
Katy Zero Tolerance wishes to thank the Governor of the Great State of Texas, State Senator Jon Lindsay, State Representative Ron Eissler and the entire State Legislature for passing this new law unanimously.
